The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Central Lake Michigan Management Unit, reports that 5,500 rainbow trout were released in Bear Lake on April 30, 2012. The average length was 6.4″. Interestingly, they even indicated that the truck tank was 47 degrees while the lake temperature was 48 degrees. All the fish were in good condition. Who knew they kept such data?
